Exercise of Options

Altona Energy Plc, the AIM listed Australian based energy company, announces that 107,988 new ordinary shares have been issued following an exercise of options at 1.0p per share.

The new shares will rank, pari passu, with all existing ordinary shares. Application has been made for these shares to be admitted to AIM and admission is expected to take place on 9 October 2009.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue following the exercise of these options will be 370,468,894.
