ELECTRICITY CONNECTION TO THE RIO TINTO MINE (or "PRT")

EMED Mining Public Limited ("EMED Mining" or "the Company")is pleased to report that the Junta de Andalucía ("Junta") has authorised the interim connection of PRT, the company's copper project located in Andalucía, Spain, to the national power grid.

This approval is another positive step in the re-start process and was made by the Junta to facilitate the continuance of safety and maintenance standards at the site during the current project planning and permitting process - especially in respect of the tailings dams which, though partly owned by 3rd parties, are managed by the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary EMED Tartessus S.L.

EMED Mining Managing Director, Mr Harry Anagnostaras-Adams said,

"PRT's connection to the national power grid was cut off by the authorities before we acquired the project. The Company appreciates the support and trust placed in our organisation with this decision of the Junta. We continue to work hard towards the restart and the approval to reconnect power serves to exemplify yet again that we are restoring a trusting working relationship between the project and the authorities."

EMED Mining has other notable earlier-stage activities focused on copper and gold, as follows:

·; Exploration licences in the copper-mining districts of Cyprus;
