Man Alternative Investments Ld21 December 2006 RIS NOTICE FOR EGM 21 December 2006 MAN ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS LIMITED (the "Company") The Board announced on 10 November 2006 that it was considering proposals forthe future of the Company, as the resolution for the continuance of the Companyput to the Company's annual general meeting on 10 November 2006 was not carried.As announced on 24 November 2006, the Board unanimously agreed that the mostappropriate course of action would be to voluntarily wind-up the Company. The Board will be submitting the proposal to wind-up the Company and cancel thelisting and trading of the Company's shares to the Shareholders at anextraordinary general meeting to be convened for 11 a.m. on Wednesday 17 January2007. The Company is today posting a Circular and Notice of the extraordinary generalmeeting to all the Company's Shareholders providing the rationale for anddetails of the winding-up proposal and seeking approval for its implementation. The Company expects to apply for a suspension of the listing of its shares onthe Official List of the UK Listing Authority and the official list of theChannel Islands Stock Exchange and of trading of its shares on the London StockExchange and the Channel Islands Stock Exchange with effect from the date of theextraordinary general meeting. If the voluntary winding-up of the Company becomes effective, it is theintention of the Company to apply for the cancellation of the listings of theshares on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and the official list ofthe Channel Islands Stock Exchange and of trading of its shares on the LondonStock Exchange and the Channel Islands Stock Exchange with effect from Thursday15 February 2007.
