("Niger Uranium" or the "Company")

EGM Requisition withdrawn

On 21 January 2009 the Niger Uranium Limited ("NUL") announced that it had received a requisition (the "Requisition") from NWT Uranium Corp. to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") under Section 82 of the BVI Companies Act, 2004, as amended, and the memorandum and articles of association of NUL. The proposed resolutions of the EGM included, inter alia, changes to the composition of the Board of NUL and a reference to a proposed private placement by NUL. 

The Directors of NUL are pleased to announce that NWT has written to the Company to withdraw the Requisition and accordingly, the proposed EGM will no longer be convened. 

The Board of NUL also announces that it will not proceed with the Private Placement.
