European Goldfields Ltd01 December 2006 For Immediate Release 1 December 2006 European Goldfields Limited (the "Company") Directors' Shareholdings The Company was informed today that Dimitrios Koutras, a director of the Company,sold on 1 December 2006 a total of 400,000 common shares without par value in theCompany ("Common Shares"), representing approximately 2.8% of his then shareholdingin the Company, at a price of 203 pence per share. Following this transaction Mr.Koutras retains 13,724,074 Common Shares representing approximately 12.0% of the Company's issued share capital.
