Notification of Transactions of Directors/Persons Discharging
Managerial Responsibility and Connected Persons
Petropavlovsk PLC ("the Company") hereby announces that it has today been notified by the Chairman of the Company, Mr. Peter Hambro and by the Chief Executive, Dr Pavel Maslovskiy, of the information set out below.
Purchase of Shares
Peter Hambro Limited a company associated with Mr. Hambro purchased Ordinary Shares of £0.01 each in the Company at a price of £7.4389 per Ordinary Share on 26 May 2011 as bare nominee for VMHY Holdings Limited ("VMHY"), a company associated with Mr. Hambro and Dr. Maslovskiy, who together hold 50% thereof. The remaining shares in VMHY are held by their Russian business partners.
The table below shows the number of shares purchased and the resultant shareholding:

The notification of this transaction is to satisfy the Company's obligations under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules 3.1.2 to 3.1.4.
