Announcement of transaction of a director in Central Rand Gold Limited Ordinary shares pursuant to Disclosure Rule 3.1.4

The Company has been informed that on 25 September 2008, Mr Miklos Salamon, a director of the Company, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Share") at a price of 40.75 pence per Ordinary Share. Following this purchase, Mr Salamon has a total beneficial holding of 675,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.27 per cent. of the current issued share capital of the Company.
