Braemar Shipping Services Plc (LSE: BMS), a leading international provider of shipbroking, financial advisory, logistics and engineering services to the shipping and energy industries, announces that it was notified on 13 October 2020 that the trustee of the Braemar Employee Share Ownership Plan had approved the transfer of ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to certain employees of Braemar, including 8,632 Ordinary Shares to Peter Mason, the Company's General Counsel and Company Secretary and a PDMR.
The release of the Ordinary Shares occurred on 13 October 2020 following the vesting on 13 September 2020 of nil cost awards under the Company's Deferred Bonus Plan granted in September 2017.
In addition to the Ordinary Shares released as noted above, Peter Mason's award was partly settled in cash in the amount equivalent to 7,655 Ordinary Shares, being the extent needed to cover his liability to income tax and employee national insurance arising in relation to the settlement of his award.
Following the release of these Ordinary Shares, Peter Mason's total holding of Ordinary Shares (including those of persons closely associated with them) will be 8,632 representing approximately 0.03% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
