Directors Interest

The Company announces that it has been notified on 22 January 2009 of the following share purchase by a person connected with a Director of Bowleven plc:-

Ms S Tuddenham, the spouse of Mr J D Brown, Finance Director of the Company, acquired 25,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 40.5p per share. Following this transaction, Mr J D Brown and his connected persons' beneficial interest in the Company is 35,700 shares, representing 0.04% of the issued share capital of the Company.
