Acquisition of Shares by a Director

The Conygar Investment Company PLC ("the Company") advises that it received notification on 12 August 2008 from Nigel Hamway, Chairman, that he had purchased 40,000 ordinary 5p shares in the Company at a price of 125p per share on 12 August 2008.

Following this transaction, his holding in the Company is now 247,000 ordinary 5p shares representing 0.59% of the total voting rights.
