NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PERSONS 

The Company has today been notified that on 20 May 2009 Dr Geoffrey Guy, a Director of the Company, transferred 17,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p to his personal pension scheme. The transfer amounts to 0.01% of the issued ordinary share capital.  

Following this notification Dr Guy's beneficial interest in 20,698,563 ordinary shares, amounting to 17.1% of the shares in issue, remains unchanged.
