The board of Travis Perkins plc (the "Company") was today notified that Mr P N Hampden Smith a Director of the Company exercised options on 23 May 2011 over 9,923 ordinary shares of 10p each in the company ("shares") at an option price of £5.96 per share.

As a result, Mr Hampden Smith now has a beneficial interest in 266,609 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.01% of the issued share capital.
