Directors holding

CoAL announces the following directors' purchase of ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares").

Richard John Linnell, Chairman of the Company, purchased 6,000 Ordinary Shares for A$5,760.36 on 18 November 2008. Following this purchase Mr Linnell now directly and indirectly holds 837,550 Ordinary Shares representing 0.204% of the total voting rights of the Company.
