Change of Directors' Interests

Guinness Peat Group plc ("GPG" or "the Company") announces that following disposals of shares on the New Zealand Stock Market on 16 September 2009 at a price of NZ$0.82 in each case, the interests of Mr B A Nixon and Dr G H Weiss in the ordinary shares of GPG have changed as follows:

Their interests in options over the ordinary shares of GPG under the Company's share option schemes remain unchanged. There are no other changes to their interests in the shares of any of GPG's quoted subsidiaries.
