Notification of sale of shares by Jonathan Ruffer for charitable purposes
Jonathan Ruffer has reduced his holding in Ruffer Investment Company Limited (RICL). The proceeds will be used to support charitable initiatives. He has sold 540,000 shares and with his immediate family he now owns 499,335 shares with a current value of £1.52m. This represents 0.2% of the Company's shares in issue. Jonathan has no intention to sell further shares for the foreseeable future.
Disclosure of this sale is not required by DTR 3.1 or other regulation, but it was felt by the directors of the Company to be of interest to shareholders.
Jonathan is chairman of Ruffer LLP and managed RICL's investments until 2012. RICL is currently managed by Hamish Baillie and Duncan MacInnes on behalf of Ruffer AIFM Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ruffer LLP), 80 Victoria Street, London SW1E 5JL. Ruffer AIFM Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
