Northern Petroleum Plc ("the Company") Director's Shareholdings

The Company has been informed that Richard Latham, Chairman of Northern, has today transferred 25,000 ordinary shares of the Company from his personal holdings to his SIPP at a price of 171.25p per share. This transfer does not alter Mr Latham's total beneficial shareholding of 725,087 ordinary shares, which represents 1.02 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
