Johnston Press plc announces that Mr M A Vickers, a member of the Group Management Board, has purchased 7,843 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 25.5p on 6 May 2009. His resultant interest in shares in the Company is now 8,993,858, of which 97,886 is a beneficial interest and 8,895,972 by virtue of his status as a potential beneficiary of the Johnston Press Share Trust.
