Notification of a transaction by a director discharging managerial responsibility in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R1(a).

Haynes Publishing Group P.L.C., the worldwide market leader in the production and sale of automotive and motorcycle repair manuals, announces that it has received notification from the following directors who have purchased ordinary 20p shares in the company.

On 28th August 2008, Mr JH Haynes, OBE (Chairman) purchased 15,000 ordinary 20p shares in the Company at 170p per share.

On 28th August 2008, Mrs Annette Haynes (a connected party of Mr JH Haynes) purchased 20,000 ordinary 20p shares in the Company at 170p per share.

On 28th August 2008, Mr Eric Oakley (Group Chief Executive) purchased 20,000 20p ordinary shares in the Company at 165p per share.
