Celtic plc was notified on 23 October 2008 that a person connected with Brian McBride, a non-executive director of the company, acquired 5,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p  each  on 23 October 2008 at a price of 39.87pence per share. The shares will be registered through a nominee, Barclayshare Nominees Limited.

Following the transaction, Mr McBride is interested in 7,187 Ordinary Shares representing 0.008 % of the issued capital in that class.
