SDL PLC ("the Company") was advised that:

on 19 April 2017 Dominic Lavelle, a director of the Company, exercised an option over 83,958 ordinary shares of 1p in the Company from a maturing Long Term Incentive Plan.

Dominic Lavelle has sold 45,988 at a price of 560.96 pence per share to fund the exercise costs and related income tax liabilities and retained 37,970 shares.

Dominic Lavelle's resultant holding is 82,970 ordinary shares (0.1%) of the issued share capital of the Company.
