CHANGES TO THE ROLES OF DIRECTORS

Land Securities announces that, with effect from 1 January 2009, Kevin O'Byrne and David Rough will respectively chair the Company's Audit and Remuneration Committees. Following her appointment as Chairman of the Board on 12 November 2008, Alison Carnwath has stepped down as the Chair of the Remuneration Committee but will continue to serve as a member of that Committee. David Rough has stepped down as Chairman of the Audit Committee but will remain as a member of that Committee.
