Appointment of an executive director and chief financial officer

AECI is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Williams (43) as an executive director and chief financial officer of the Company, with effect from 1 August 2007.

Roger joins AECI from an international gold mining and exploration business where, over a 10 year period, he played a significant role in the listing of that company on two overseas stock exchanges. He has extensive experience in project and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning and treasury functions.

Roger is a BA (Hons) graduate and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in both the United Kingdom and in South Africa.

AECI welcomes him and looks forward to his contribution to the Company and the Board.
