 APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Chemring today announces the appointment of Fiona MacAulay as a non-executive director. She joins the Board with immediate effect.

Fiona is a highly regarded non-executive director and chair of FTSE listed businesses. As a chartered geologist she has over three decades of global industrial experience and has a strong track record of delivering growth and leading companies through complex change agendas.

Having started her career with Mobil, she subsequently moved to Hess and then British Gas where she held a number of senior international operational roles, including postings to Yemen, Pakistan, Vietnam and Russia. In 2010 she joined Rockhopper Exploration, the AIM-listed Oil & Gas business focused on exploration in the North Falkland Basin. In 2013 she became the Chief Operating Officer where she was responsible for a number of successful business development projects including the acquisition of Mediterranean Oil and Gas in 2014, and Falkland Oil & Gas in 2016. Most recently she became the Chief Executive of Echo Energy plc in 2017. She left the business in 2019 to concentrate on her non-executive and advisory roles.

Fiona is currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Ferrexpo plc, the FTSE 250 iron ore mining & palletisation and trading company; Chairman and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Independent Oil & Gas plc, the FTSE AIM listed gas development group focused on the Southern North Sea; and a non-executive director and Chair of the Health & Safety Committee at Coro Energy plc, the FTSE AIM listed international gas exploration company. She is also an exploration advisory board member at Cairn Oil & Gas, India, a subsidiary of Vedanta plc.

Fiona has an MSc in Sedimentology from the University of Reading and a BSc in Geology from University College, London.
