4 December 2007 Surface Transforms plc ("Surface Transforms" or "the Company") Directorate Change

On 29 March 2007 the Company announced that Julio Faria, Technical Director of the Company, would step down as an executive director in December 2007.

The Company announces that Mr Faria has stepped down from his executive role with immediate effect and will remain on the board of Surface Transforms as a non-executive director. Mr Faria co-founded the Company in 1992 together with Professor Clark, when business assets and technology were acquired from ICI plc. The carbon ceramic technology platform that was developed during the early years of the Company's life forms the foundation of the current aircraft and automotive brake system business.

Following Mr Faria's move to non-executive director Dr Kevin Johnson and Dr. Maria Hadjisoteriou will head up the Company's technical development team and assume responsibility for the ongoing development of the Company's products.
