Northgate PLC14 April 2005 14 April 2005 Northgate plc Appointment of Non-executive Director Northgate plc, the UK's leading light commercial vehicle hire company, ispleased to announce that Mr Tom Brown has agreed to join the Board of theCompany as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect. Mr Brown (56) is currently Chairman of Dyson Group plc, the materials technologycompany, Chairman of Chamberlin & Hill plc, the engineering group, and adirector of a number of private companies. He was previously Group Chief Executive of United Industries plc, and beforethat Group Managing Director of Fenner plc. His early career was spent with GKNplc, where he became Managing Director of operating companies in the UK andoverseas. He also worked for McKinsey & Company Inc, the American consultingfirm. Mr Brown was executive chairman of Hydra Tools International Limited within the12 months preceding the receivership of that company on 13 October 2000.
