Directorate Change - Retirement of Non-Executive Director

Wey Education (AIM: WEY), the educational services group, announces that Dame Erica Pienaar, Non-Executive Director and member of the Remuneration and Audit Committees has decided to retire from the Board, effective immediately, to focus on her personal interests. Dame Erica has been offered, and accepted, the newly created post of Chancellor Emeritus of InterHigh, WEY's Online Secondary School, a position that will allow her continue to be a part of WEY's journey and to participate in various Company and external events.

The Board will seek a new appointment of a non-executive Director in due course.

Barrie Whipp, Chairman, commented "Erica has shaped WEY's approach to the quality of its education since her appointment in 2015 and feels that her mission as a Director has been achieved. We shall miss her counsel at Board level, but we can rely on her vast experience and passion for WEY to continue in a less onerous fashion.
