The Company also announces that Neil Rimer will step down as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 30 September 2026. The Board is grateful for his contribution and continued support throughout this transition.
Ken Stannard, Chair of the Board at Funding Circle said: "We are delighted to welcome Tamsin to the Board. Technology and data are the foundation of our competitive advantage and how we help more small businesses get the funding they need to thrive. Tamsin brings a track record, across executive and non-executive roles, of building high-growth, data-driven products and businesses that will be invaluable as we continue to develop our platform and offering for SMEs.
On behalf of the Board, I also want to thank Neil for his support and commitment over the last 15 years. Neil's insight and counsel has helped shape Funding Circle into the business it is today, and we are grateful for the continuity he has provided throughout this period of Board transition."
Lisa Jacobs, CEO at Funding Circle said: "Neil has played a significant role in the success and growth of Funding Circle. He was one of the first to back us, becoming a NED and investor in 2011, with a belief in our growth, mission and impact when we were just a small team with a big ambition. Since then, the business has grown from less than £12m credit extended to over £17bn, supporting more than 125,000 UK SMEs. I want to thank Neil for bringing his wealth of experience and rare insight to bear, and for the invaluable encouragement and challenge he has shown to me and the business over the last 15 years. We're also thrilled to welcome Tamsin, and her hands-on experience of scaling technology businesses from the inside is going to be a real asset as we continue to grow."
Tamsin Todd said: "I'm really excited to be joining the Funding Circle Board. Funding Circle is solving a problem that really matters and has built a unique technology platform to get small businesses the finance they need, quickly. I'm looking forward to applying my experience in digital products and technology to help the business continue to scale and expand its multi-product offering."
Neil Rimer said: "It has been a real privilege to accompany Funding Circle from its earliest days, and to witness its emergence, growth and transformation over the past 15 years. I remain a strong believer in Funding Circle's mission to back small businesses and help them grow and thrive. The company has the team, the strategy and the platform to go much further, and I look forward to continuing to cheer them on from the sidelines."
