MANDARIN ORIENTAL INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (the 'Company')On behalf of the Company, we wish to advise that Lord Sassoon has been appointed as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 23rd January 2013.

In compliance with LR 9.6.13R of the listing rules of the Financial Services Authority (the 'FSA'), the directorships in other publicly quoted companies held by Lord Sassoon in the previous five years are set out below:

- Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited (a publicly quoted company in the UK)

- Hongkong Land Holdings Limited (a publicly quoted company in the UK)

Past directorship:

- The Merchants Trust PLC (a publicly quoted company in the UK)

We confirm that there are no other details in respect of Lord Sassoon as required under LR 9.6.13R of the listing rules of the FSA which need to be disclosed by the Company.
