5 July 2012, Dublin/London: Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" and/or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Terry Buckley to the Board of Independent News & Media PLC as a non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Terry Buckley is Managing Director of Clear Channel Ireland since 1997; Ireland's leading out of home media company whose brands include Adshel Street Furniture. He is a board member of the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland and he is a founder and Chairman of Rockall Technologies.

A graduate of University College Dublin, Terry also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Trinity College, Dublin. He completed the Chartered Director Programme in 2010/2011.

Terry was Group Marketing Director of Allegro Group from 1995 to 1997 and prior to that he held a number of senior positions with United Drug plc including the position of Executive Director from 1991 to 1995.
