Latham(James) PLC18 December 2006 James Latham plc The Directors announce that Mr Roger Latham retired as Chairman and ChiefExecutive on Friday 15th December 2006 after 44 years service with the companyand that they have elected Mr Peter Latham to take over his roles. Peter Lathampaid tribute to Roger's contribution to the company's success since becomingChairman in November 2000. He noted that Roger had overseen the completion ofthe sale of the Clapton site, the relocation of the Head Office and the Londontrading operations, the opening of new branches in Dudley and Gateshead and thesale of Nevill Long. He has left the company in a sound financial position andable to take advantage of profitable opportunities as they arise.
