The Company reports that Trevor Smallwood O.B.E. has resigned as a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Bristol Water plc (the "Company").

Trevor has acted as a Non-Executive- Director for 9 years, initially on the boards of the

listed parent companies Bristol Water Holdings plc and Bristol Water Group plc prior to the agreed takeover in 2006 by Agbar. Trevor has served as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of both the Audit and Nomination Committees.

Moger Woolley, Chairman of the Board of Bristol Water plc, said: "Trevor will be much missed. He has made a very significant contribution to the group's progress and on behalf of the Company, and all our staff, I want to express our warmest thanks for his excellent service. We wish him well for the future."
