Xchanging plc (LSE:XCH), the global business processor is pleased to announce the appointment of Michel Paulin as an independent non-executive director effective 1 January 2010.

Michel is an experienced French business leader and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at the Louis Dreyfus group's major commodity trading business. 

 

Michel recently held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Neuf Telecom/Cegetel, which hehelped to build up to become the third largest telecoms company in France. Michel is also a non-executive director of Myriad Group AG, Switzerland.

In addition to serving on the Board of directors of Xchanging plc, Michel Paulin will serve on the Company's Audit and Nominations Committees.

Commenting on Michel Paulin's appointment, Mr Nigel Rich, Chairman of Xchanging plc, said "We are delighted to welcome Michel to the Board of Xchanging plc. Michel's leadership, knowledge and contacts, particularly in France, will assist in driving Xchanging's international strategy."

The Company has no further details to disclose under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
