Dennis Millard, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Xchanging plc, has been appointed as Chairman of Halfords Group plc, with effect from 28 May 2009.
Mr Millard is currently Chairman of Smiths News plc. He is a non-executive director of Premier Farnell plc and of Debenhams plc where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Mr Millard was previously a non-executive director of Exel plc and of EAG Limited.
