Commercial Deployment of Motive Technology Begins in Turkey

Digiturk begins rollout of Motive's Television Anytime Anywhere technology among base of 2.5 million subscribers

London 29 May 2013: Motive Television ("Motive" or "Company") announces that it has been informed by Digiturk, the largest satellite broadcaster in Turkey with over 2.5 million subscribers, that it has begun providing set-top boxes which include Motive's Television Anytime Anywhere technology to consumers on a commercial basis.

Although the Company cannot predict the eventual number of Digiturk subscribers who may receive the Company's technology in the next 2-3 years, the Company conservatively estimates that at least 100,000 of Digiturk's subscribers will receive set-top boxes with Motive's technology.

Based on a recent report of the distribution of set-top boxes during the soft launch in the second half of 2012, Motive has issued its first invoice for licence fees. Licence fee royalties are payable twice yearly based on the number of set-top boxes enabled with Motive technology over the respective six-month period and are expected to represent a significant continuing income stream that will accrue monthly for Motive. Specific terms of the agreement including the number of set-top boxes produced and the unit licence fees are not being disclosed.

Leonard M Fertig, CEO of Motive commented, "The commercial deployment by Digiturk of services that use Motive's technology is an important milestone for our Company, marking the second major client (joining Mediaset in Italy) using Television Anytime Anywhere in a broad commercial use. Digiturk is the first user of Motive's patented Television Anytime Anywhere software by a satellite broadcaster (DTH) and paves the way for implementation by other operators in the satellite pay television industry, particularly in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Digiturk is respected as a technology leader and its selection of Motive's technology platform signals a vote of confidence to the Company and its unique software based advanced content solutions by the satellite pay-tv industry."
