Trading Emissions plc (the "Company") today announces that further to the announcement dated 19 February 2010 regarding the results of the Court Meeting and the Extraordinary General Meeting to approve a scheme of arrangement (the "Scheme") pursuant to which Leaf Clean Energy Company would acquire the entire issued share capital of the Company (the "Proposed Merger"), the High Court of the Isle of Man has dismissed the Company's application for an order sanctioning the Scheme at a hearing held earlier today. Consequently, the Scheme has lapsed and as previously announced the Proposed Merger will not proceed."
