Avanti Screenmedia Group PLC04 July 2005 For Release 7.30am 4 July 2005 AVANTI SCREENMEDIA GROUP PLC CONTRACT GAINS Exceeds Target of 1,000 Pub and Bars by the End of June Avanti Screenmedia Group Plc ("Avanti" or "the Group" - ticker ASG/L), the UK'sleading provider of screenmedia, announces that it has exceeded its target ofsigning 1,000 pub and bar venues by the end of June 2005 by securing a series ofcontract gains with a number of companies, including the Sports Cafe, Ladhar,Thwaites, Independent Leisure and Shepherd Neame. The Group now has 1,005 venues contracted, delivering an advertising audience of4.5 million customers per week. Whilst there are some 60,000 pubs in the UK,most being small community, food led or family pubs, Avanti targets an urbanyouth audience and, of the 3,000 high street venues in the UK, the Group now hasa 33 per cent share of its target market. Avanti entered the shopping mall market in January 2005 and, in the space of sixmonths, has signed contracts with 33 shopping malls. Most significantly, was therecent win with The Mall, announced last week, delivering 22 shopping malls in acontract worth £3m plus advertising revenue. Avanti's total audience now tops around 12 million customers per week - threetimes the size of the nearest competitor in screenmedia in any sector and largeenough to put Avanti at the top table with other large media owners.
