Sportech PLC confirms the Office of Fair Trading's ("OFT") decision to clear the acquisition of Data Tote Limited ("Data Tote")
Sportech PLC ("Sportech") is pleased to note that the OFT has decided, on the information currently available to it, that a relevant merger situation, under the provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002, has not been created in the acquisition by Sportech of Data Tote.
The acquisition of Data Tote, announced on 27 September 2013, further reinforces Sportech's position as one of the largest operators and providers of betting technologies and services in the world. Data Tote brings an incremental customer base with strong year-on-year revenue growth that will broaden Sportech's share of the European betting market.
