Commencement of Seismic Programme

The board of Petrel (AIM: PET) has been informed by the Company's farm in partner, Woodside Energy, that the Bréanann 3D seismic programme commenced on 27th June on Frontier Exploration Licence 3/14 in the Porcupine Basin, Irish Atlantic. The total programme is over 2,400 km2, of which circa 40% relates to FEL 3/14, in which Petrel has a 15% carried interest. The seismic parameters are state-of-the-art and the contractor is PGS. The programme is expected to complete within 5 weeks, but the processed and interpreted results will require many months thereafter. A further announcement of the results will be made in due course. Petrel is fully carried on the expenditure.
