KMG EP Share Buy Back Programme. 

Announcement on the results of the trading

Astana, 06 March 2009. JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on 05 March 2009 the Company acquired 120,000 of its global depositary receipts ("GDRs")  (LSE:KMG) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of $12.4313 per GDR. 

Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 2,956,555 GDRs and 49,622 ordinary shares.
