The Board of Macfarlane Group PLC ("the Group") today announces that as part of a restructuring of its Packaging Manufacturing business, it has been agreed with Graham Casey that he will step down from the Board with immediate effect and leave the Group on 6 April 2009 to pursue other business interests.

Archie Hunter, Chairman of Macfarlane Group PLC, today said: -

"Graham Casey has been with Macfarlane Group for over thirty-three years in a variety of different, but important roles. The Board wishes to thank Graham for his considerable commitment to the Group and wishes him every success in the future."
