Application for Admission

 

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (BBVA) hereby announces that an application has been made to the United Kingdom Listing Authority (UKLA) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) for 113,677,807 new ordinary shares in the capital of BBVA with a par value of 0.49 Euro per share (the Shares) to be admitted to the Official List of the UKLA and trading on the main market of the LSE. Admission is expected to become effective on 11th May 2016.

 

The Shares have been issued in connection with BBVA's shareholder remuneration programme called "Dividend Option" which offers eligible BBVA shareholders the opportunity to elect to receive their remuneration in ordinary newly-issued BBVA shares or in cash. The associated BBVA's capital increase charged to voluntary reserves was approved at the Ordinary General Meeting of BBVA Shareholders held on 11th March 2016, and executed by the resolutions adopted by the Board of Directors of BBVA in its meeting held on 31st March 2016.
