Following press reports on October 6, the bank confirms it has sought approval from the Central Bank of Oman to open a commercial banking branch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Central Bank of the UAE approval is also required to establish the branch and we will inform the market when all approvals are in place. For information, the bank already has a representative office in the UAE.
