Appointment of non-executive director

Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC (the "Group", the "Company", or "ABG") is delighted to announce the appointment of Nigel Boardman as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Nigel served as a partner in Slaughter and May from 1982 until his retirement from the partnership on 30 April 2019. While a partner he served, inter alia, as Head of Corporate from 1996 to 2004.

Nigel has received a number of accolades including the Financial Times' Special Achievement Award;, Chambers Directories Lifetime Achievement Award, Lawyer of the Decade Award from Financial News and has been ranked as a 'star performer' for Corporate and M&A work by Chambers in its UK, Europe and Global directories.

Nigel is a consulting editor of the Oxford University Press's 'Annotated Companies Acts' and is on the Editorial Board of the 'Journal for Corporate and Commercial Law and Practice'. He is a Vice President of Save the Children UK, a non-executive board member at the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and a Deputy Chairman of the British Museum.
