Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Obtala Resources Plc has appointed Professor John Monhemius (aged 65) PhD, MSc, BSc, Metallurgy to the Board as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Professor Monhemius has over 40 years experience in Gold, Copper, Nickel, Zinc and other metals. He is Professor of Mineral and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College, London. He is also ex-Dean of the Royal School of Mines, London and is author of over 100 papers and books.

His activities include Professional Society appointments as Chairman of Minerals Processing and Extractive Metallurgy, and Chairman of International Mining and Minerals Association.

Throughout his recent career, Professor Monhemius has conducted numerous consulting assignments for Anglo American Services, Billiton Research BV, Netherlands, BP Minerals International, British Alcan Aluminium Limited, Lonrho Plc, Serious Fraud Office and UNESCO Consulting mission.
