CHIME COMMUNICATIONS PLC

"Chime" or "the Company"

Chime has today been notified that on 20 April 2009 the Chime Communications plc Employee Trust ("the Trust") purchased 104,167 ordinary shares of the Company at 96 pence per share. The shares were purchased by the Trust for the purpose of satisfying awards under the Chime Communications plc Deferred Share Plan as approved by the Board on 4 May 2006. The Executive Directors are not eligible for grants under the Scheme.
