This announcement is issued by way of correction to the announcement released by Majestic Wine plc (the 'Company' or 'Majestic') at 07.00 am on 18 July 2008 under RNS number 3352Z (the "Original Announcement"). This announcement is being issued because the period during which the options granted to the executive Directors are exercisable was not stated correctly in the Original Announcement. The period should have read "17/07/2011 - 17/07/2018" in the case of S Lewis and "17/07/2011 - 16/07/2018" in the cases of N Alldritt and J Apthorp. No other details in the Original Announcement require correction.

Amended - Grant of options
The Company yesterday granted options over ordinary shares of 7.5 pence each in the Company to the executive Directors as detailed below under the Group's executive share option scheme. These options will vest on the achievement of compound EPS growth during the holding period in excess of 5% per annum.
