AIS OEM distributor deal signed with USA based West Marine Inc.

SRT's subsidiary, SRT Marine Technology Limited, has signed a distribution agreement with West Marine of the USA for its OEM AIS Class B product. 

SRT is providing its AIS Class B product to West Marine for sale within their own brand product program under the brand of West Marine. The companies have co-operated to develop a marketing program which will see the West Marine AIS Class B product for sale and actively promoted in approximately 380 stores, advertised in their 1 million print run catalogue and available on the West Marine web site commencing January 2009.

AIS Class B was approved for use in the USA by the FCC in September 2008 where there is a potential market of up to 16 million vessels. AIS is a valuable navigation aid which assists with anti-collision and the accurate identification, location and tracking of maritime traffic.
