Dublin/London - 3 June 2011: At the AGM of Independent News & Media PLC ['INM'] in Dublin today, Chief Executive Gavin O'Reilly said:

"Further to the Group's Interim Management Statement issued 3 weeks ago (13 May 2011), we note that while advertising conditions still remain challenging and short-term, we continue to target a year-on-year improvement in Group Operating Profit for 2011, coupled with further significant deleveraging."
