Adjourned General Meeting

Silvermere Energy plc. ("Silvermere" or "the Company"), announces that as indicated in the Company's announcement of 15 August 2011, the general meeting of the Company held this morning to approve the acquisition of the Mustang Asset and related matters, has been adjourned until 10.30 a.m. on 30 August 2011. The meeting will then be reconvened at the offices of Memery Crystal LLP, 44 Southampton Buildings, London WC2A 1AP.

The substantive discussions regarding the additional cash call of £250,000 referred to in the 15 August 2011 announcement are continuing. Until the discussions are concluded, however, there can be no certainty that a satisfactory outcome can be achieved.

The Company will make a further announcement prior to the reconvened general meeting.
