Johnston Press PLC11 October 2007 Johnston Press plc Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the block listing of550,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company to the Official List andto the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading. These shares will be issued and allotted in connection with the Johnston Pressplc Sharesave Scheme. They will rank pari passu with the existing shares inissue.
